Overview
Idlewild Presbyterian Church, located in Memphis—a city known for its vibrant culture, affordable living, and community spirit—is seeking a Director of Children’s Ministry to nurture faith among our youngest members (birth–5th grade) and their families.
This full-time position emphasizes creating engaging, inclusive faith formation experiences through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and other programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about faith development, volunteer recruitment, and relational ministry, working closely with church leadership to support children’s spiritual journeys. Responsibilities
Develop and implement faith formation programs for children and families
Recruit, train, and support volunteers
Collaborate with church leadership on ministry initiatives
Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment
Qualifications
Passion for faith development and children’s ministry
Experience in faith-based education or ministry preferred
Strong relational and leadership skills
