Position Overview:

Linden Waldorf School is seeking an experienced anddynamicDirector of Alumni Relations & Outreach to join our community and build meaningful, lasting relationships with alumni. The director will play a key role in strengthening the alumni network, fostering a sense of belonging, and enhancing the school’s visibility and reputation among former students and their families. This position involves developing and executing strategies for alumni engagement, overseeing outreach efforts, and managingcommunicationchannels to keep alumni informed and connected to Linden Waldorf School.

As a key representative of the school’sleadershipteam, the director will collaborate with the faculty, theAdvancementCommittee of the Board of Trustees, and the parent body’s Fundraising Committee to support fundraising initiatives, reunions, and other alumni-related events. This role offers the opportunity to deepen alumni’s ongoing connection with Waldorfeducationand their experience at Linden.

Key Responsibilities:

Alumni Relations Strategy and

Leadership

:

Develop and implement a comprehensive alumni relations strategy that strengthens connections with alumni, deepens engagement, and increases alumni participation in school events, programs, and giving.

Create and nurture adynamicalumni network through events, social media, and personalized outreach.

Cultivate alumni participation in school activities, such as serving on school committees, volunteering, and attending reunions or other school events.

Communications and Outreach:

Develop and manage a regular alumnicommunicationplan, including newsletters, social media updates, and email campaigns to keep alumni informed of school news, events, and initiatives.

Create and maintain anup-to-datealumni database, ensuring accurate contact information and engagement records.

Utilize digital tools, social media platforms, and alumni-specific platforms to foster connections and promote events and activities.

Serve as a member of the administrative team and participate in shared responsibilities that lie therein.

Event Planning and Coordination:

Plan and execute alumni events such as reunions, networking gatherings, and other school-related activities.

Coordinate with other team members and committees to align alumni outreach with broader school goals.

Facilitate alumni participation in school events, including guest speaker engagements, career panels, and class reunions.

Fundraising and Stewardship:

Lead and organize fundraising initiatives incollaborationwith theAdvancementCommittee of the Board of Trustees and the Fundraising Committee.

Build relationships with alumni donors and ensure proper acknowledgment and stewardship of gifts.

Collaborate with external partners to develop best practices for engaging alumni in fundraising efforts, including annual giving, capital campaigns, and endowment initiatives.

Promote a culture of giving and ongoing support among alumni, helping them feel personally connected to the mission and needs of Linden Waldorf School.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

Minimum 2 years of experience in alumni relations,community engagement, fundraising, or related fields (nonprofit sector or independent school experience)
