Self-Help is seeking adynamic, impact-driven individual to help us grow in the Miami region. While this role is similar to business development, fundraising, and sales, our work is centered around building genuine, meaningful relationships and collaborations among mission-aligned organizations and individuals in the community to achieve triple-bottom-line results.
To power local results, we consistently seek to build strength and capacity by securing deposits—mission-aligned investments—in accounts like money market and/or term certificates. You can help us reach our goals and advance our mission by:
Researching prospective investors,
Engaging in the community and building authentic relationships with organizations and people across multiple sectors, e.g., housing, social justice, environmental justice, economic mobility, health equity, economic development, faith-based, and more,
Making requests for values aligned investments and following up.

WHAT You’ll Do:
Represent Self-Help on panels/webinars, and at conferences focused on finance for low-wealth communities.
Lead a workgroup of outreach professionals in executingcommunity engagementactivities focused on understanding the opportunities and barriers for providing access to finance in low-wealth communities.
Build relationships with external partners and networks: community, institutional, and governmental organizations to grow market-building opportunities nationally.
Support and manage special projects and programs designed bysenior leadershipto advance organizational priorities.
Work in partnership with credit union and lines-of-service leaders to ensure the development of products and programs to achieve strategic goals.
Develop feedback loops to influence product and service design based on learnings fromcommunity engagementactivities.
Support the assessment of effectiveness of products and services in reaching target communities through qualitative data collection and stakeholder feedback.
Communicate the impact of products with community partners to ensure ongoing accountability.
Lead sponsorship and event support policies and budgeting.
Work with Self-Help senior managers to organize and mobilize organizational resources around new initiatives.
