Position: Â Director/Assoc Director (Programmes) – Next Gen

About the Next Generation Programmes Team The Next Generation (Next-Gen) programmes team focuses on supporting and developing Next-Gen changemakers in Asia. This is particularly crucial as Asia is home to 60% of youths globally and our Next-Gen changemakers can be a powerful force of good in their communities and beyond.
Next-Gen programmes will provide sustained and
impactful
ways of enabling our Next-Gen to navigate life transitions and an increasingly complex world through:
Improving access to
education
opportunities and
diverse
pathways;
Advancing lives and livelihoods through training and entrepreneurship; and Activating impact through platforms to turn ideas into impact.
We are seeking
dynamic
and self-starting individuals who are passionate about creating
positive impact
through:
Creating and curating programmes and platforms for the Next-Gen;
Forging partnerships across the public-private-philanthropic sectors to create impact at scale;
Leveraging philanthropic capital including
innovative
financing models to catalyse change.
Responsibilities Develop impact-first programmes for the Next-Gen that tap into leading global trends and innovations in areas of
education
, training, entrepreneurship and youth development.
Develop strategies, frameworks, initiatives, and road maps for the Next-Gen that are aligned with Temasek Foundation’s charter and goals.
Create a pipeline of programmes that push new boundaries. This includes:
Identifying opportunities and gaps in meeting the needs and aspirations of the Next-Gen;
Co-creating programmes with partners across the Private, Public and Philanthropic sectors;
Programme management including the deployment of grants and other
innovative
financing mechanisms;
Grow and expand network of partners and actively seek strategic opportunities for
collaboration
.
As part of the programme development work, key activities that you will undertake include:
Reviewing grant proposals and partnering with potential grantees to design programmes that deliver impact and create value to communities;
Preparation and presentation of research briefs, analysis and recommendations for Board/Management approvals;
Maintaining oversight of Programmes which includes monitoring and evaluating of the Programmes milestones, engage partners to ensure programme is on-track, measurement of impact and close-out;
Convening platforms and engagements with partners.
