JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping and executing email marketing strategies that engage audiences, drive conversions, and support the organization’s broader mission, marketing, and development goals. The position will have exposure to all aspects of email marketing and some aspects of other digital marketing channels to help drive the overall growth strategy.

This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, content expertise, and analytical skills to craft and support compelling campaigns that resonate with key audiences across participants and donors.

Working closely with editorial, programming and marketing team members, the Email Marketing Manager will oversee content direction and copy that aligns with campaign objectives. They will take the lead in setting email marketing goals and project timelines, planning email campaigns, and ensuring all activities contribute to the organization’s overall objectives.

A key responsibility of this role is monitoring and analyzing campaign performance in collaboration with the email operations and data team members, using data-driven insights to refine and optimize future campaigns. The Email Marketing Manager will also identify, hire, and manage external resources as needed to support campaign execution.

Essential Functions

Email Campaign Strategy & Execution

Manage all aspects of day-to-day email campaigns, from concept to deployment.
Direct and build the email marketing calendar to align with key organizational objectives.
Collaborate with the editorial and creative teams to develop brand-aligned and high-converting email content.
Write and refine email copy to ensure messaging aligns with campaign goals and audience engagement strategies.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights to optimize future initiatives.
Conduct A/B testing to refine subject lines, content, and CTAs for improved engagement and conversion.
Work alongside email operations to continuously improve email performance.

Segmentation & Personalization

Develop and manage audience segmentation strategies to drive participant and donor retention and acquisition.
Leverage participant and donor data to create personalized and dynamic email experiences.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful campaign execution.
Work closely with external vendors and email service providers to enhance performance and implement new capabilities.
Ensure all email campaigns adhere to GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other legal requirements.

Resource & Budget Management

Identify, hire, and manage external resources as needed to support content creation and campaign execution.
Advocate for necessary resources by presenting clear recommendations to support email marketing performance (e.g., new tools, testing initiatives, resources, etc.)

Work Details

This position functions in Omega’s administrative offices.

This is a full-time position.

Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand, and ability to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Ability to observe details at close range.

Required Education & Experience

5+ years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or content strategy.
Strong writing and content development skills, with an ability to craft compelling and effective copy.
Demonstrated experience with email marketing and marketing automation platforms.
Demonstrated experience with audience segmentation.
Ability to analyze data, interpret insights, and make strategic recommendations.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
Familiarity with email compliance regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
Familiarity with design in Figma

Preferred Education & Experience

Familiarity with creating content about holistic education, health, wellness, mindfulness or related fields.
