Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit in the Pittsburgh area, is seeking a Digital Marketing Associate to support their marketing team on a freelance-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented marketer who enjoys combining creativity, analytics, and collaboration to grow audience engagement and strengthen digital performance across email, web, and social media channels. The Digital Marketing Associate will serve as a day-to-day digital marketing resource, working closely with marketing leadership to execute campaigns, apply channel best practices, analyze results, and recommend improvements.
This is a frelance to hire role. Pay rate at $30/hour. Hybrid with onsite requirement Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Responsibilities:
- Execute digital marketing campaigns across email, web, and social media channels, including both organic and paid initiatives.
- Plan, build, deploy, and optimize email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, testing, quality assurance, and post-campaign analysis.
- Develop and manage organic social media content and support paid social campaigns through audience targeting, creative testing, and performance tracking.
- Build and update campaign and event webpages and landing pages, ensuring usability, quality, and conversion optimization.
- Maintain reporting dashboards and use analytics to identify trends, measure success, and recommend improvements across channels.
- Coordinate with internal partners to manage timelines, content flow, creative assets, and campaign execution.
- Support updates to marketing systems and processes, troubleshoot issues, and document best practices.
- Use AI and other digital tools responsibly to improve efficiency, content development, and overall campaign performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- 1-3 years of digital marketing experience, including hands-on work in email marketing and social media.
- Experience with campaign testing and optimization, including subject lines, creative, calls to action, audience targeting, and performance analysis.
- Ability to build and update webpages or landing pages, including experience with WordPress or similar platforms.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of email marketing platforms, social media tools, analytics, and digital design applications such as Canva and Adobe Photoshop.
- Ability to interpret data, identify insights, and communicate recommendations clearly.
- Experience working collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with CRM or marketing automation platforms, basic HTML/CSS, and web analytics tools is a plus.
- Experience in a mission-driven or nonprofit environment is a plus.
