JOB PURPOSE:
This position will provide leadership in the planning, organizing, engagement and solicitation of corporate
and foundation partners for Piedmont. This position will manage a portfolio of constituents while also
partnering with fellow development staff, Foundation Board Members, and other key stakeholders to
manage appropriate relationships connected to the corporate and foundation arena. In this role, there will
be a heavy emphasis on the grant writing skillset for charitable grant submissions to the appropriate
constituencies in the Piedmont communities. The Development Officer, Corporate and Foundations
position will assist in all aspects of strategies for engagement of these focus areas including identification
of grant opportunities, writing and submitting grants, and partnering with appropriate staff for reporting
and stewardship requirements for each grant received.
This position will be based with and primarily focused on prospects related to the Piedmont Healthcare
Foundation and its geographical areas but will also be a central resource for supporting the additional
Piedmont Foundations in Columbus, Augusta and Athens. This position will report through the Service
Line Fundraising portion of the organizational chart and will report directly to the Executive Director of
Development. This role will be based out of the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation Offices in Atlanta.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Research, or any related fields
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Seven (7) years of relevant experience in grant-writing, fund development and/or relationship
management or a closely related field.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
5-10 years of experience with non-profit grant writing and management, preferably some experience
within the non-profit healthcare space is preferred.
Healthcare experience preferred; experience with implementing multi-level changes and initiatives
preferred.
