29 Acre’s living community is located in Crossroads, Texas approximately 30 miles north of Dallas. Located near the shores of Lake Lewisville, 29 Acres is a quiet community yet is only minutes away from the University of North Texas and all the major services and activities of the Dallas metroplex. It is easily accessible from several highways serving the North Texas area.
Position Summary
Come join us in helping to change the world! This position is responsible for planning and coordinating all fundraising special events (annual gala, golf tournament and North Texas Giving Day) , expanding volunteer programs, and corporate partnerships. Provide Leadership for event committees and provide assistance to the CEO for major gifts, planned giving, sponsorships and donor cultivation.
Position Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s Degree; preferred fields Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or related
Required: 5+ years nonprofit fundraising and special events experience
Required: Advanced PC Skills and expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite
Required: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Required: Must hold a valid Texas driver’s license and possess an acceptable driving record.
Desirable: CFRE, Proficiency with Hudspot
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Responsibilities
Planning
Plan all special events in conjunction with volunteer committees.
Develop and implement a written annual plan for cultivating new corporate partnerships to include volunteer opportunities and sponsorship opportunities.
Provide monthly reports to the Executive Director/Board which measure progress towards the 29 Acres fundraising goals.
Events
Manage and oversee all 29 Acres fundraising special events.
Promote events to the business community.
Work with appropriate staff and volunteers to ensure successful events.
Develop and solicit sponsors for events as needed.
Ensure formal acknowledgements of all gifts and sponsors for events.
Corporate partnerships
Manage acquisition of new corporate partnerships, especially those with an emphasis on volunteer and employment opportunities
Attend meetings such as Chambers of Commerce to promote corporate partnerships.
Gifts Cultivation Assistance
Assist Executive Director with creating and implementing strategies for donor development and cultivation which will provide a diverse and sustainable funding base for 29 Acres.
Assist Executive Director with major gifts, planned giving, and in-kind donations.
Assist Executive Director with building and maintaining relationships with major donors of all types, develop strategies for solicitation.
Assist Executive Director in creating and updating collateral materials to support gift cultivation.
Help develop and implement all aspects of direct donor mailings.
Ensure that the donor database information is current and accurate.
Ensure acknowledgement of all gifts and donations.
Volunteer Relations
Manage Volunteer Recruitment and assist Directors with volunteer opportunities within the company..
Collaborate with Directors and Enrollment & Marketing Manager on social media and other media platforms within the purview.
