At The Children’s Heart Foundation, we fund the most promising research to improve outcomes for individuals with congenital heart defects (CHDs), the most common birth defect.
We’re looking for a Development Manager to lead fundraising growth across the Great Lakes Region through our signature Congenital Heart Walk series and other mission-driven events.

This isn’t just event planning. It’s about building community, empowering volunteers, and driving meaningful revenue that directly fuels life-saving research.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and grow a portfolio of fundraising events, including the Congenital Heart Walk series
- Own and drive revenue goals through sponsorships, team fundraising, and donor engagement
- Recruit, coach, and lead volunteer committees
- Build strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
- Oversee event strategy, planning, and execution from start to finish
- Identify new opportunities to expand fundraising impact and regional growth
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or event management
- Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue goals
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Highly organized with strong project management ability
- Experience with peer-to-peer fundraising (walk/run programs preferred)
- Passion for mission-driven work
