We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Manager to join our team. The Development Manager will be responsible for leading and managing our annual giving programs and mid-level donor stewardship and cultivation. This role is essential in driving the organizations fundraising efforts and ensuring the continuing success and growth of our development initiatives. This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of 2 days/week in the Waltham office.

Annual *
Email *Develop and execute a minimum of 5 email campaigns to increase annual giving. Create compelling content, manage timelines, and analyze campaign performance.
Direct Mail * Develop and execute 2-3 printed and mailed campaigns to increase annual giving. Create compelling content, manage timelines, and analyze campaign performance.
* Develop and execute 2 printed newsletters per year. Create compelling content and manage timelines.
Monthly * Implement strategies to increase monthly donor enrollment and retention. Create and implement a plan for stewardship of monthly donors.
Gift *Determine how best to optimize the Gift Catalog. Create campaigns around the Gift Catalog.
Online Donation * Maintain the fundraising platform, Fundraise Up. Create campaigns and online acknowledgements based on all fundraising campaigns.
Mid-Level Stewardship and Cultivation ($1K-$4,999):
Develop and implement strategies to steward and cultivate mid-level donors. Create engagement activities to strengthen donor relationships.
Ensure mid-level donors are recognized for their contributions and kept informed about the impact of their support.
Work closely with the Director of Development and other team members to identify potential major donors from the mid-level donor pool.

Bachelors degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or development, with a focus on annual giving, digital marketing, and donor relations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create compelling and persuasive content.
Proficiency in using donor management software, e.g. Salesforce CRM, fundraising platforms, e.g. Fundraise Up, and digital marketing tools, e.g. Word Press websites, email marketing systems, payment systems.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders.
Ability to take initiative while knowing when to seek guidance from those with greater experience.
