This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Development Manager to join a mission-driven team dedicated to providing transformative educational experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building skills and a passion for the arts, education, and philanthropy. This role is essential in fostering donor engagement, managing institutional relationships, and supporting the organization’s fundraising and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing institutional donors, ensuring regular communication, engagement, and stewardship.

Schedule and conduct donor visits, providing immersive school tours and meaningful follow-up.

Manage the calendar of grant proposals and reporting deadlines, ensuring timely submissions.

Research prospective donors, prepare briefings, and initiate outreach efforts.

Collaborate with leadership, board members, and staff to align funding opportunities with the organization’s mission and needs.

Support donor acknowledgment processes, ensuring appropriate recognition and documentation.

Assist in alumni engagement efforts and event planning, as needed.

Contribute to the organization’s marketing and communications efforts, including writing social media content, blog posts, and donor communications.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience in development, fundraising, donor relations, or a related field is preferred.

Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.

Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of relationship-building.

Understanding of social media, website management, and digital marketing strategies.

Familiarity with K-12 education, the arts, or nonprofit fundraising is a plus.

Ability to work collaboratively within a small, dynamic team while managing multiple priorities.

Work Environment & Benefits

Salary: $65,000 – $82,000, based on experience.

Full-time, onsite role in Dorchester, MA, with occasional flexibility for remote work.

Three weeks paid vacation, plus school holidays, February and April breaks, and an extended winter break.
