The Washington Crossing Park Association (WCPA) is seeking apart-time, work-from-homeDevelopment Director (DD) for our growing organization. Our DD will report to our Executive Director (ED), who reports in turn to our Board of Directors. As an ambassador for the WCPA, the DD will collaborate with the ED and the Board to strengthen relationships with and raise funds from WCPA’s donor base and beyond.

Our DD must genuinely enjoycommunity engagementand relationship building, and should feel at ease with requesting funding for a wonderful cause.
Must have excellentcommunication skills.
Should have public and private donor contacts, and a record of creating successful grant applications.
Must be familiar with membership management software to administer and grow our database.
Responsibilities:
Direct WCPA fundraising processes and strategies.
Develop tactical roadmaps to reach prospects with a strong focus on raising unrestricted funds.
Coordinate with our WCPA Fundraising and Membership committees.
Gather input from Board, ED and all stakeholders.
Identify potential unrestricted and restricted funding sources.
Ensure smooth operation of all fundraising activities including, writing appeals, gift acknowledgment, stewardship correspondence, grant proposals, memberships, etc.
Meet with donors to solicit gifts.
Develop outreach initiatives including social media content for fundraising and bequest appeals and memberships.
Advise on our website, email updates, and possible history/recreation bloggers or podcasters.
Assist the ED with research, preparation, and submission of grant proposals.
