Full Job Description
As the operational backbone of Catholic Charities Washtenaw County’s (CCWC) development efforts, the Development Coordinator ensures excellence in donor data management, strategic communications, and event execution. This role combines meticulous attention to detail with creative engagement to strengthen donor relationships and optimize fundraising systems. The Coordinator maintains donor records, produces insightful reports, and implements innovative solutions while managing digital communications and supporting high-impact events. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an emerging professional to grow their development expertise within a mission-driven organization.
Relevant education or credentials strongly preferred in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field (Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Certificate); High School Diploma required. Position requires a minimum of two years of experience in development, nonprofit administration, or related field with demonstrated success in donor database management, professional writing, and event planning.
Other requirements include and are not limited to:
Understanding and respect for CCWC’s Catholic identity and values, with passion for serving vulnerable populations
Advanced proficiency in donor databases (e.g., DonorPerfect) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Experience with Canva, Adobe, email marketing platforms, and social media management
Exceptional written, verbal, and social communication skills for donor relations and compelling storytelling
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Total compensation includes mileage reimbursement, comprehensive benefit plan with employer contribution, 401k retirement option, plus paid time off with paid holiday schedule that includes the week between Christmas and New Year’s.
