Alternative Paths Training School’s (APTS) mission is to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills essential for their successful integration into the community. This position will initiate and implement fundraising strategies for APTS and APTS Outreach LLC, building the department from the ground up.

APTS is searching for a full-time Development and Grant Coordinator, Monday-Friday.

This position will initiate and implement fundraising strategies for APTS and APTS Outreach LLC. building the department from the ground up. Coordinator will create and maintain donor/contact database and be the point person for donors/donations, including making donor calls and visits as necessary. Additionally, is responsible for oversight of the full grant cycle including initial research, inquiry and identification, coordinating the writing, managing the application and submission process, award oversight and follow-up reporting. Finally, they are expected to grow, expand and diversify the income sources of APTS and APTS Outreach LLC.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree- required

Must be able to drive/hold valid driver’s license and be willing to travel (primarily locally), maintaining a flexible work schedule that occasionally includes evenings and weekends

Two years of professional experience in fund development. Experience with a non-profit organization preferred

Experience in grant research, having successfully identified funding sources and secured funding

Experience in initiating and executing a fundraising campaign

Required skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, exemplary written and verbal communication skills, basic math ability, and excellent problem-solving skills

Comfortable in a team structure and able to speak confidently before groups

Job Type: Full-time
