ABOUT COMMON GRACE

Established in 2002, Common Grace is a small faith-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based on Oahu. Our mission is to help in-need children in Hawai’i’s public schools by connecting them with caring adults, teenagers, and older adults who serve keiki with Compassion, Attention, Kindness, and Encouragement (C.A.K.E.) through one-on-one mentorship. We have two programs: (1) Mālama Mentors, which trains and pairs adults and high school mentors with public elementary school mentees, and (2) Mohala Mentors, which partners high school mentors with public middle school mentees.

MISSION

To serve Compassion, Attention, Kindness, and Encouragement (C.A.K.E.) to Hawaii’s public elementary and middle school students through one-to-one mentorship.

POSITION SUMMARY

Our growing organization is seeking to hire a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support a federal award provided by the Office of Juvenile and Delinquency Prevention. This role involves managing, analyzing, and interpreting data related to the grant’s objectives to ensure compliance, measure outcomes, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with an understanding of federal reporting requirements to gather programmatic metrics and produce high-quality insights and recommendations — as well as undertake different projects necessitated by federal grant requirements.

Hours: Up to 15 hours a week

Start time: asap

Location: Hybrid (In-person at our main office, co-working office, work from home)

Position Reports to: Program Director

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Data Management and Analysis

Collect, clean, and organize datasets related to grant-funded activities.

Conduct statistical analyses to evaluate program effectiveness and identify trends.

Develop and maintain spreadsheets and visualizations for program performance metrics.

2. Reporting and Compliance

Prepare and submit data reports to federal agencies in compliance with grant requirements.

Ensure all data reporting and company operations adhere to applicable award regulations, including confidentiality and security protocols.

Collaborate with program staff to produce both quantitative and qualitative deliverable metrics.

3. Technology and Tools:
Utilize general Microsoft Office tools and software to conduct analysis and generate reports.

Manage online grant portals and databases and ensure data integrity across systems.

Utilize Zoom and other communication software to organize and facilitate meetings.

4. Other duties as needed

Provide additional support to the Executive Director and operations side as needed.

Flexibility to commute to different high schools, middle schools, and co-working spaces as needed.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in operations management, preferably with experience managing grants, finances, and compliance in a non-profit organization

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis, and IT management are highly preferred

Understanding of basic accounting principles and budgeting

Highly organized with attention to detail; patience; ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Excellent oral & written communications skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively to maintain positive working relationships with staff, donors, community members, and funders

Ability to interpret complex datasets and provide clear, actionable insights.

Strong focus on accuracy in data reporting and compliance.

Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards in data handling and reporting.

Hours are normally between 8am to 5pm. Some projects or events may require you to work on weekends.

-Begin template to develop a data report that reflects both quantitative and qualitative data supplemented by Program Operations

-Complete necessary online training as required by OJJDP Award conditions

-Set up an OJJDP Training and Technical Assistant provider
