Overview
We’re seeking a Data Analyst to help advance how a leading education-focused nonprofit institution understands and uses digital audience data across its public-facing web properties. This consultant will bring strong expertise in GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio, along with experience supporting content-rich websites that serve broad public audiences.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate the current GA4 implementation across web properties to ensure tagging, event tracking, downloads, and data collection are accurate, useful, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve data structure, event design, and measurement practices to take full advantage of GA4 functionality.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine and streamline Looker Studio dashboards and reports, making insights more accessible and actionable.
- Develop reporting that highlights key audience behaviors, including top-performing resources, traffic sources, popular search terms, engagement quality, and other meaningful indicators.
- Establish baseline audience behavior metrics and monitoring approaches to help staff identify unusual changes and investigate underlying causes.
- Create measurement strategies that align analytics implementations with defined goals, reporting needs, and success metrics.
- Translate findings into practical recommendations for website improvements, reporting enhancements, new tracking opportunities, and related digital optimization efforts.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with analytics solutions, with a strong emphasis on Google Analytics.
- 3+ years of experience configuring Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Hands-on expertise with visualization and reporting tools such as Looker Studio and Tableau.
- Experience supporting complex, content-rich websites that serve public audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to explain technical analytics concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Self-directed, collaborative work style with the ability to operate effectively in a remote environment.
