Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and mission-driven Part-Time Data Analyst to support our conservation and operations teams. In this remote role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze environmental, operational, and donor-related data, helping us measure impact, improve efficiency, and guide strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Gather, clean, and interpret large datasets from multiple sources including environmental, fundraising, and operational systems

Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Collaborate with program managers, scientists, and fundraising staff to identify data needs and solutions

Perform statistical analysis and identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement

Ensure data integrity and assist in maintaining database systems

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field

2+ years of experience in a data analyst or similar role

Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or Python/R

Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to present data insights clearly

Passion for environmental conservation and The Nature Conservancy’s mission

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Preferred:

Experience working with environmental or nonprofit data

Knowledge of GIS tools or geospatial analysis

Schedule & Compensation:

Approximately 15–20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling

Competitive hourly rate based on experience
