The Nottingham & Derby District take pleasure in supporting local churches and circuits to better enable the mission of the Church. As part of this, it regularly receives applications for grants to support mission and ministry in the circuits.
The District Grants Committee exists to respond appropriately to such applications and monitor the use of grants awarded. It is a joy to hear stories of innovative and exciting projects and employment opportunities and strive to discern the best and proper use of Methodist monies.
We are seeking to appoint a voluntary Grants Officer. The Committee is unable to operate without this role which is key to ensure proper adherence to process and procedure as we seek to be good stewards of the funds at our disposal.
The Grants Committee meets three times per year in November, February and May and requires approximately 20 hours of the officer’s time over the year.
