Job Description:
The Culinary Arts Job Coach is responsible for collaborating with the Culinary team to provide employment development, placement, and support services to all program participants In OSBI Culinary Kitchens and workshops and on job sites in response to DDD and One Step Beyond Inc. specifications. The Culinary Arts job Coach responsibilities include addressing the needs, interests, aptitudes, and ISP Goals and Objectives of all members participating in Culinary Programs, which includes daily/weekly/monthly curriculum delivery and all other means to advance program goals achievement, responsiveness to members, and continuous improvement. The Culinary Arts Job Coach will be instrumental in teaching our participants appropriate employment skills and behavior and will closely support members as they progress and learn their jobs efficiently, safely and successfully.
Qualifications:
1+ years experience in food preparation of food services industry
1+ years working with individuals with intellectual disability or a similar population of vulnerable individuals
Ability to gain knowledge and implement practices that show attention to compassionate and safe supervision of individuals with ID as well as supporting individualized developmental growth goals and objectives
Appropriate certifications and clearance according to DDD State Regulations
Good driving record, must pass MVR inquiry
Responsibilities:
Provide transportation to and accompany participants to employment sites and all community-based activities to, observe performance, oversee work training, and provide instruction and assistance accordingly.
Deliver program curriculum based on individual needs of program members and in accordance with ISP goals and objectives by implementing the daily schedule provided by the supervisor.
Consider safety and proactive supervision when supporting members by assisting and accompanying them on campus or community activities.
Report and document concise daily member’s progress including completing daily logs, communication books, data sheets, etc.
Model and demonstrate appropriate behavior management techniques (Article 9 training) with program members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $15.75 per hour
