Become a part of the impactful journey at More Than a Roof Housing Society in Vancouver. We offer internships in both maintenance and culinary assistance, focusing on community and belonging.
The summer internship program, funded by Canada Summer Jobs, is designed for eager individuals aged 15 to 30 seeking to support housing maintenance or food programming. Interns will help maintain safe living conditions while assisting in our community kitchen and event meal planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with maintenance managers in housing upkeep
• Conduct essential janitorial responsibilities for community spaces
• Assist in food preparation in the community kitchen
• Plan and coordinate meals for events
• Support tenants and foster connections through service
Requirements:
• Between 15 and 30 years old at the start
• Must be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status
• Social Insurance Number required before starting
• Authorized to work in Canada legally
• Passion for community service and transformation
