We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credentialing Manager to join our team. Responsibilities
Oversee the credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring adherence to established standards and regulatory requirements.
Review applications for accuracy and completeness, verifying credentials through primary source verification.
Collaborate with medical staff and department heads to facilitate timely credentialing and recredentialing processes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards affecting credentialing practices.
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to credentialing activities.
Conduct regular audits of credentialing files to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Serve as a resource for staff regarding credentialing issues, providing training as needed.
Prepare reports on credentialing activities for management review.
Skills
Strong understanding of medical office operations and managed care principles.
Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple credentialing files simultaneously.
