Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role as a Court Mentor located in the New York City Metropolitan area. Court Mentors will lead and support tennis programming, coach and mentor young athletes, and foster skill development both on and off the court. Responsibilities include organizing drills, facilitating games, promoting sportsmanship, and serving as a positive role model to youth participants. Mentors will also engage with parents, staff, and volunteers to foster a supportive community that aligns with the program’s mission.
Qualifications
- Coaching and mentorship skills, particularly in tennis
- Experience in youth development, leadership training, or working with children
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills
- Ability to collaborate with parents, community members, and organizational staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and growth-oriented environment
- Previous involvement in community or nonprofit work is a plus
- Willingness to work on-site in the New York City Metropolitan Area
- Basic understanding of wellness and holistic development practices
