Position Summary
The Relationship Manager (RM) plays a critical role in the CWSP. The RM is responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with corporate partners to facilitate work-study opportunities for students while also providing support and coaching to the students within their portfolio. The RM supports and implements the daily program administration and operations which often include student transportation and daily logistics, data collection and reporting, resource development, interdepartmental collaboration, and special projects. This role also maintains and deepens the relationships with the Corporate and Nonprofit Partners that hire our students and function as the point person for communication with supervisors and students in their portfolio. In collaboration with the CWSP team, the RM will also develop new opportunities to strengthen relationships with students, families, faculty/staff, supervisors, and other CWSP partners and programs.

What You’ll Do
Corporate Partner and Student Relationship Management
1. Manage portfolio of CWSP partner relationships and student work teams employed by partner organizations.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners through clear and consistent communication and setting expectations for their participation in the CWSP and closely monitoring student performance.
3. Support partner supervisors by anticipating the needs of and effectively responding to the supervisors managing the student workers and identifying work-study opportunities that align with student’s academic programs and career aspirations.
4. Steward and monitor compliance of supervisors.
5. Organize regular check-in meetings with stakeholders and supervisors to discuss performance feedback, identify areas for improvement.
6. Encourage annual partner contract renewals by maintaining a strong understanding of the partnership success and satisfaction and proactively address any concerns.
7. Build strong relationships with and coach students towards excellent performance at their work placement by developing internship job descriptions and role expectations, as well as supporting the student to set their personal goals for the year.
8. Conduct site visits and check-in calls to every partner, ensure follow-up is accomplished and documentation is completed in a timely manner.
9. Manage all aspects of partnerships within the assigned portfolio in a solution-oriented, supportive way demonstrating excellent customer service to both partners and students; always looking for opportunities to deepen professional relationships, expand partnerships, and build student capacity.
10. Closely monitor timecard submissions and performance evaluation feedback, implementing timely interventions to support student success.
Data Management, Compliance & Quality Assurance
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date student and corporate partner information in school databases (i.e., Blackbaud, Work Study Force/Salesforce, Google Drive records), including family and supervisor information.
2. Adhere to established knowledge management (KM) and file structure guidelines. Maintain accurate records of all internship placements, agreements, and evaluations.
3. Support student employment processes ensuring compliance and accuracy. Lead new student employment sessions for incoming CRJ students (I-9s, work permits, etc.)
4. Ensure that student timecards are accurate and completed on time; develop incentives and consequences for incomplete timecards.
5. Lead strong student attendance efforts; generate/monitor Make Up Day reporting and related family communication.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and regulations related to student’s internships.
Performance Monitoring and Evaluation
1. Implement a system to track and evaluate student associate performance.
2. Collect and analyze feedback from student associates and corporate partners to assess the effectiveness of the program.
3. Prepare and present reports to the VP, Corporate Work Study and other stakeholders, as necessary.
Student Development & Family Communication
1. Provide direct support to students through positive reinforcement and constructive interventions to help ensure continuous improvement in professional skills and work performance.
2. Communicate with families via phone and email and at various school & CWSP events, as needed.
3. Provide program leadership and logistical support for morning and/or afternoon CWSP transportation (students departing for and returning from work).
Interdepartmental Collaboration
1. Provide CWSP representation as an active member of interdepartmental committees, initiatives, school-wide supervision staffing plan for day to day and event needs, etc.
2. Serve as CWSP liaison to selected grade level: represent CWSP on grade level team, attend retreats and grade level assemblies and events, participate in CWSP content facilitation opportunities with grade level, etc.
3. Participate, when possible, in school-wide community events – community masses/potlucks, service learning, student supervision, assemblies, retreats, etc.
4. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders: faculty, staff, trustees, partners, students, families, transportation staff and CRJ supporters.
- Reporting:
1. Regular updates and reports will be provided to the VP, Corporate Work Study on progress and outcomes.
2. Progress will be evaluated based on the successful placement and performance of interns, feedback from stakeholders, and the overall growth and improvement of the CWSP as measured by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

● BA/BS degree from accredited college or university
● 1-5 years of professional work experience

● This is an exempt, full-time role that is based on-site at CRJ and in the community on corporate partner visits.

● CWSP staff members work 12 months of the year with PTO allocated between vacation (10), personal (5), and sick days (5) in addition to school holidays.
● Salary is commensurate with education and years of education with an anticipated range of $55,000 – $60,000.
