About the Role:
Join a dynamic Development and External Affairs team focused on strengthening internal and external partnerships, driving fundraising efforts, and increasing the organization’s visibility. As the Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations, you will manage and grow the corporate and foundation grants pipeline, expand corporate partnerships, and collaborate with leadership on strategic fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate and Foundation Grant Management
Manage tracking and reporting of existing and prospective foundation and corporate grants.
Conduct prospect research and prepare strategic briefings for leadership.
Draft clear, compelling grant proposals, reports, and communications to foundations and corporations.
Collaborate with finance and program teams to ensure grant compliance and timely reporting.
Develop creative funding packages to align program needs with funder priorities.
Corporate Partners Program
Identify, cultivate, and solicit new corporate partners while deepening relationships with existing partners.
Collaborate with the volunteer program team to connect corporate volunteer initiatives with fundraising efforts.
Work with program teams to create sponsorship opportunities.
Develop innovative strategies to expand corporate engagement.
Support cultivation and stewardship activities, including special events targeting corporate partners.
Administration & Strategy
Collaborate on the annual strategy for corporate and foundation fundraising.
Track donor engagement and grant activities in Raiser’s Edge CRM.
Prepare fundraising reports, dashboards, and data analysis for leadership.
Participate in special projects and department-wide initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
3-5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with a focus on grant writing and corporate partnerships.
Strong relationship-building skills and comfort engaging with new stakeholders.
Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex societal issues for diverse audiences.
Knowledge of New York City’s business and philanthropic landscape.
Creative, proactive problem-solver who can independently manage multiple projects.
Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience with fundraising data management and budget tracking.
Familiarity with donor database software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge).
