Position Objectives:
As a ‘Corporate Partnerships and Certification Manager’, you are a dedicated fundraiser who specializes in connecting animal-friendly businesses with partnership opportunities. You have a passion for discovering new and innovative products and services and are a natural at developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Identify and secure corporate partners for PETA Business Friends, PETA-Approved Vegan certification, and other sponsorship opportunities
Develop and implement lead generation and sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals for sponsorships and certifications
Create, implement, and track annual budgets, provide quarterly updates, and trend analysis
Assist the Corporate Giving team with procuring gifts in-kind and prospecting new partnerships through its certification programs
Build and sustain strong relationships with current and prospective partners and applicants
Assist with sponsor acquisition and relations for special events
Leverage your relationships with partners to support PETA’s overall mission
Manage relevant websites and maintain supporting documents and program materials
Meet regularly with partners and prospects, taking timely and detailed notes
Manage all aspects of the PETA-Approved Vegan program, including the application and certification process, and maintain databases
Stay up to date and ensure compliance with global certification standards
Develop cultivation initiatives for certification holders and sponsors
Actively network with vegan and cruelty-free brands, attending conferences and events to identify and secure new partnership opportunities
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
Ten years of experience in sales, business development, or fundraising
Experience managing a portfolio of $500,000+
Strong understanding of sponsorships and certification programs in a nonprofit environment
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills
Proven ability using Microsoft Office, Asana, and database management systems
Adhere to a vegan lifestyle and strong familiarity with vegan and cruelty-free brands
Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Willingness and ability to travel
Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver’s license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record
Supportive position vis-Ã -vis PETA’s philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA’s positions on issues
Commitment to the objectives of the organization
The salary range for this position is $55,436.60 – $69,305.60 annually. The ultimate salary within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
