Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing and supporting volunteer activities that align with MPS Mayorista de Colombia’s community and outreach initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling volunteers, as well as maintaining accurate volunteer records and communication channels. The role involves planning and coordinating volunteer training sessions, providing guidance and support to volunteers, and ensuring they have the resources needed to perform effectively. The Coordinator will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify volunteer opportunities, promote participation, and monitor the impact of volunteer programs. This position also requires regular reporting on volunteer engagement, feedback collection, and continuous improvement of volunteer processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training, including organizing, guiding, and supporting volunteer teams.
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build positive relationships and engage diverse volunteer groups.
- Candidates should possess experience in Community Outreach, including coordinating activities and partnerships that support community-focused initiatives.
- Experience coordinating programs or events, preferably in nonprofit, corporate social responsibility, or community settings.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment.
- Proficiency with basic office software and online collaboration tools for scheduling, communication, and tracking volunteer activities.
- Relevant education or training in social sciences, community development, communications, or a related field is beneficial.
- Prior experience working with volunteers in Colombia or similar contexts is an advantage.
