Position Overview
The Controller will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective management of financial resources. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in strategic financial planning and decision-making while maintaining the integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all financial transactions and ensure accurate reporting of financial information
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including budget forecasts, financial statements, and variance analyses
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and efficiency
Conduct audits and liaise with external auditors to facilitate the audit process and address any findings
Collaborate with management to prepare and monitor the annual budget, providing insights and recommendations for financial planning
Support the organization’s grant management processes, ensuring compliance with grant agreements and reporting requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting, preferably in a non-profit organization
Strong knowledge of SEFA audit processes grant management
Proficient in accounting software and financial management systems
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
