Contracts Specialist (100% Remote / Work-From-Home)
Our client, a major national nonprofit organization, is seeking a Contracts Specialist to support a high-volume operations team responsible for managing contracts, budgets, grants, and cross-functional workflows across multiple business units. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys coordinating projects, managing competing priorities, and working with a wide range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the processing of contracts, vendor agreements, grants, memberships, sponsorships, and related documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between internal departments including Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Program teams to keep projects and workflows moving forward.
- Track the status of contracts, invoices, grants, and other operational requests, ensuring timely follow-up and communication with stakeholders.
- Review incoming requests for completeness and accuracy, following up with stakeholders as needed to obtain missing information.
- Research and resolve issues related to invoicing, payments, approvals, and operational processes.
- Monitor budget commitments and assist with budget tracking and reporting activities.
- Generate reports and data requests to support compliance, planning, and operational analysis.
- Maintain and improve process documentation, templates, and workflow guides.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Provide ongoing operational support for special projects and organizational initiatives.
- Perform additional duties and special assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in contracts administration, operations, project coordination, grants administration, program support, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and professional judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience within a nonprofit, healthcare, education, government, advocacy, or mission-driven organization is preferred.
