We are expanding our delivery team and are seeking a Contract Attorney (Legal Innovator) to support our growing roster of impactful clients.
About the Role
As a Contract Attorney (Legal Innovator), you will:
Work alongside our Chief Legal Strategist and delivery team to draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements
Provide issue-spotting and legal counsel on corporate, nonprofit, tax, and regulatory matters
Draft practical, strategic guidance that helps clients solve problems and make confident business decisions
Support development of scalable templates and playbooks for recurring legal matters
Collaborate virtually with a modern, creative legal team committed to rethinking how law firms serve clients
This contract position offers flexibility and room for growth into deeper client-facing opportunities as the firm scales.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate business and commercial contracts (NDAs, MSAs, partnership agreements, equity docs, nonprofit formation)
Conduct legal research and prepare summaries on corporate, IRS tax, and compliance issues
Assist with deal documents and legal project deliverables
Draft client communications and correspondence with clarity and empathy
Collaborate on firm playbooks, templates, and best practices
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and client-first legal service
Ideal Candidate Profile
J.D. and licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
3–7 years experience in business, nonprofit, or tax-related law
Excellent drafting, writing, and communication skills
Solutions-driven and adaptable — focused on clients, not just legal theory
Strong tech orientation (comfortable working in Clio, Asana, Google Workspace, Pipedrive, and PandaDoc)
Bonus: Experience with IP, IRS resolution, nonprofit governance, or startup law
