Mitchell-Yancey Habitat for Humanity (M-Y Habitat) is looking for a part-time ​Construction Supervisor responsible for the new construction, remodeling, repair or renovation of homes or other assigned projects undertaken by Mitchell-Yancey Habitat for Humanity.
This position requires overseeing the entire build/repair process including budgets, estimating, schedules, permits, subcontractors, materials and tools. Habitat keeps the cost of construction low through volunteer labor, both skilled and unskilled. The construction supervisor will work with the Volunteer Coordinator to organize volunteer crews. They should also be able to provide on-the-job training and supervision for semi-skilled and unskilled volunteers. Workdays are normally one day a week and/or Saturday during an active build.
M-Y Habitat is working in partnership with the Mitchell County Long-Term Resilience Group (MCLTRG) and this position is shared between the two organizations to create a full-time position. The work for MCLTRG is the same as for M-Y Habitat though concentrating on repairs for local homeowners post hurricane Helene
Hours may vary but will be approximately 30-40 hours per week. The pay is $30/hour
