Full Job Description
Job Summary: This position will work closely with Construction Superintendent in order to fulfill our mission by building homes as quickly and to the highest construction standards possible. You will be expected to learn all aspects of construction, permitting and volunteer oversight to adequately complete assigned homes on schedule and budget.
Duties:
· Assist and lead onsite construction tasks with staff, volunteers, subcontractors and partner families
· Responsible for safety on site at all times
· Responsible for tools and material at assigned sites at all times
· Monitoring all work for quality and per code
· Manage and schedule subcontractors for completion of homes
· Assist with construction scheduling
· Assist with regular volunteer crew scheduling and management
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· High school degree
· Ability to coordinate and execute the construction of single family homes with staff, volunteers, subcontractors and partner families
· Valid Texas driver’s license
· Ability to apply construction knowledge to scheduling, coordinating and participating in general construction work activities
· Ability to lead, manage, supervise and motivate individuals and teams of volunteers
· Ability to plan, schedule, prioritize, coordinate, delegate and manage multiple work activities
· Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
· Ability to work with others and possess strong interpersonal communication skills
· Must be willing and supportive of the MHFH big picture
