Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Community Volunteers. This role is perfect for those looking to make a positive impact in their community while gaining valuable experience in various skills such as leadership, public speaking, and social work. Community Volunteers will assist in organizing events, engaging with community members, and supporting various initiatives that promote social welfare and community development.
Responsibilities
Help to cleanup parks etc, collect can goods, collect animal feed donations.
Assist in the planning and execution of community events and programs.
Engage with local residents to promote participation in initiatives.
Supervise and train new volunteers, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
Utilize platforms such as Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce for managing volunteer data and tracking engagement.
Conduct public speaking engagements to raise awareness about community programs.
Collaborate with team members to develop training materials that enhance volunteer effectiveness.
Manage logistics for events, including setup, breakdown, and resource allocation.
Provide support in campus recruitment efforts to attract new volunteers.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experiences:
Some of our Volunteer positions require no experience such as the Project Cleanup Program and Project Animal.
Background in social work or community service is preferred but not required.
Experience with campus recruitment or supervising teams is a plus.
Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce for data management is beneficial.
Strong leadership abilities with a passion for training development.
Excellent public speaking skills to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
Previous experience in recruiting or managing volunteer programs is advantageous.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $1,000.00 – $2,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
