Duties and Responsibilities:

The Navigators work with families and Regional Center consumers to identify services that will help them meet program goals such as increasing use of Regional Center and generic services. Tasks include completing pre/post service surveys, identifying individual goals and objectives for participants, helping the participant apply for services. Conducting in-person outreach, parent training, entering data, tracking activities, professional development, and duties as assigned. A community-based position; work will take place in the community and occasionally at our office(s), 25 hours per week.

Direct contacts with parents and consumers
These tasks include but are not limited to contacting parents/consumers, conducting intake process, conducting pre/post surveys, determining parent/consumer needs and assisting them to meet those needs
Administrative Responsibilities
These tasks include emailing, recording information in our data management system, and attending scheduled staff and CNP meetings
Outreach and Parent to Parent Support
These tasks include but are not limited to attending parent support groups, outreach activities to identify new program participants and to find community resources
Professional Development
These tasks include but are not limited to attending training sessions

Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Regional Center, special education and related disability services Good written and verbal communication skills Good time management skills Attention to detail for accurate data collection Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively with a variety of people

Preferred
Parent of child with disability desirable Bilingual desirable.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).

The anticipated hiring range: $19.00 – $21.00/hour

Full Pay range: $19.00 – $21.00/hour

Time Base: Part-Time
