Role Description
This is an on-site volunteer role located in Boston, MA for a Community Leader. The Community Leader will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating events aimed at raising awareness and funds to support survivors of sexual exploitation. Responsibilities include community outreach, building partnerships with local organizations, recruiting volunteers, and creating positive event experiences. This individual will play a key role in fostering an engaged and welcoming community, amplifying redM’s mission and impact.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and active listening
- Experience in event coordination, volunteer management, and community engagement
- Ability to network and build relationships with nonprofit organizations and partners
- Creative problem-solving skills and project management experience
- Passion for supporting survivors of sexual exploitation and commitment to redM’s mission
- Adaptability and a collaborative mindset to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of social issues related to human trafficking is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is beneficial
