The Community Impact Program Manager serves as a primary member of the United Way of Southern Nevada’s Programs team by ensuring that resources and community funds are disbursed to partner agencies to address the immediate needs of area residents.
They prepare and facilitate training and technical Assistance on local, state and federal programs and special-purpose community impact funds focused on community assistance.
This position is responsible for maintaining designated outside agency relationships, navigating complex grant administration and qualifying criteria, and ensuring accurate data entry and reporting. They will also demonstrate empathy and understanding in connecting community members in need with available resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below:
- Identify and build partnership opportunities and promote relationship-building with organizations, agencies, and key community stakeholders.
- Works with the finance team to provide regular reports to funders on financial performance of managed programs.
- Responsible for gathering, summarizing, and reporting on the impact performance results of each program/fund.
- Prepare and facilitate training on each program to ensure partner agencies follow proper protocols and maintain required documentation.
- Monitors program activities to ensure quality and accuracy of outcomes, documentation and data collection to demonstrate community impact.
- Coordinate evaluation and quality improvement activities, including those through collaboration with partners as appropriate.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback. Make recommendations for improvements.

Education, Skills, Experience and Training Requirements
- Any combination of education that includes an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of two to four years of progressively responsible administrative experience. The right combination of education or relevant experience may be substituted in place of degree requirements.
- Prior non-profit and grant support experience is preferred.
- Experience with grants administration and compliance.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to accurately extract data from reports or forms, posting information as required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including composition, grammar, and proofreading.
- Ability to provide customer service and guidance to people with a wide range of cultural backgrounds, age ranges, emotions, training, and experience.
- Valid Nevada Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance coverage, and car registration required.

Technical Knowledge and Equipment
- Proficient computer skills including ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM, and has a comfortable working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiar with artificial intelligence tools for the nonprofit sector, such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini. Knowledge of Program Management Software is helpful.

- The incumbent in this position may operate any/all of the following equipment: telephone, cell phone, fax machine, computer, printer and related equipment, copy machine, audio-visual equipment, calculator.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
