Position Summary
Community Based Services (CBS) is seeking a dedicated and motivated Community Habilitation Residential (CHR) Assistant Manager to support our Community Habilitation Residential programs throughout Westchester County. This position plays a key role in ensuring quality services for individuals with developmental disabilities while supporting staff, community activities, and program operations.
The CHR Assistant Manager will work closely with management and direct support staff to coordinate meaningful community activities, assist with program documentation, and provide operational support across multiple locations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the coordination and scheduling of community-based activities and outings.
- Support community habilitation staff and individuals receiving services.
- Assist with data collection, tracking, and reporting requirements.
- Support the completion and review of monthly documentation and progress notes.
- Provide coverage and operational support to CHR programs as needed.
- Promote person-centered services and community integration.
- Maintain compliance with OPWDD regulations, agency policies, and service standards.
- Collaborate with managers, staff, families, and community partners to ensure quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a human services setting.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to transport individuals and travel throughout Westchester County.
- Willingness and ability to become AMAP certified.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with documentation and basic computer applications.
- Flexible, dependable, and team-oriented.
Pay: $23.00 – $25.66 per hour
