Staffing with Bliss is currently seeking a Community Engagement Specialist who is passionate, professional, and community-focused.
Pay: $19 – $21/hour
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys public speaking, community engagement, educational programming, and collaborative outreach initiatives. The selected candidate will help facilitate educational trainings, coordinate community partnerships, and support awareness programs focused on prevention, advocacy, and public education.
Responsibilities
- Educating and training about domestic violence and the co-occurrence/intersection with substance use
- Educating and engaging men & boys as allies in the prevention of violence against women and girls
- Facilitate educational presentations, workshops, and training sessions
- Engage with community organizations and professional groups
- Support development of educational and multimedia materials
- Attend community events and outreach engagements
- Maintain accurate program documentation and reporting
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
- Assist with awareness campaigns, online content, and educational initiatives
- Support trauma-informed and community-centered service approaches
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Services, Communications, Public Health, or related field preferred
- Two years of experience in facilitating community-based trainings preferred
- Driver’s license is required for this position
- Previous experience in training, facilitation, outreach, or community education preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable presenting to groups and working independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional environment
- Flexible schedule availability for occasional evenings or weekends
Preferred Experience
- Community outreach or nonprofit experience
- Public speaking or workshop facilitation
- Social services, behavioral health, or advocacy-related backgrounds
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
Additional Requirements
- Must pass background screening and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
