Position: Community Engagement Coordinator – Hilliard Food Pantry
Hilliard Food Pantry+ is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our community by providing food and support. For more than six decades, HFP+ has served Hilliard and nearby areas through a small-scale, efficient operation that assists neighbors with limited resources. Recognizing that hunger persists—even in suburban settings—we currently distribute food to over 14,000 individuals each year, in addition to providing utility assistance and holiday support.
Guided by the “plus” in our name, we’re broadening our offerings and launched the Share Closet program. Our VISTA member will play a vital role in establishing this initiative and shaping our organization’s future by helping to develop systems and programs that advance our mission.
Member Duties: As our Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a vital role in establishing our Share Closet initiative. You will shape our organization’s future by developing systems that will advance our mission of enhancing the well-being of our community. Establishing efficient procedures for resident services, you will mobilize and coordinate volunteers for classes and programs. You will oversee strategic communications, positioning us to better serve residents in our community.
Leading the charge on donation drives, you will ensure the Share Closet remains well-stocked while attracting, training, and equipping volunteers who will sustain pantry operations. Additionally, you will build a dynamic social media presence to highlight benefactors and services, executing effective fundraising initiatives to promote program growth and impact.
