Position Title: Community Engagement & Annual Giving Manager

Classification: Full-Time, Exempt 

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Salary Range: 60,000-75,000

Position Summary

The Community Engagement & Annual Giving Manager is responsible for growing SOS Care’s community of supporters through annual giving, donor stewardship, corporate sponsorships, fundraising events, community partnerships, and volunteer engagement. This position develops and manages a comprehensive donor pipeline, cultivates relationships with annual, Donor Advised Fund (DAF), and Legacy Giving prospects, and works closely with the CEO to prepare qualified major gift opportunities.

This position serves as the primary relationship manager for annual donors while supporting the long-term sustainability of SOS Care through strategic fundraising and community engagement.

Essential Responsibilities

Annual Giving & Donor Engagement (35%)

• Develop and execute annual fundraising campaigns.

• Grow annual and recurring giving programs.

• Coordinate year-end appeals and online fundraising campaigns.

• Steward existing donors through phone calls, meetings, handwritten notes, and personalized communication.

• Increase donor retention and donor participation.

• Maintain accurate CRM records.

Corporate Sponsorships (20%)

• Develop SOS Care’s annual sponsorship package.

• Secure new corporate sponsors.

• Renew annual sponsorships.

• Coordinate sponsor recognition and benefit fulfillment.

• Maintain ongoing relationships with sponsors.

Events & Community Engagement (20%)

• Coordinate the annual fundraising calendar.

• Lead one to two signature fundraising events annually.

• Support departmental fundraising events.

• Coordinate sponsor participation.

• Build community partnerships and volunteer opportunities.

• Represent SOS Care at networking events and community functions.

Donor Pipeline Management (15%)

• Build and manage an active donor cultivation pipeline.

• Identify and qualify new donor prospects.

• Develop cultivation plans.

• Schedule donor meetings with the CEO.

• Track donor movement through each stage of cultivation.

• Present donor pipeline updates during EOS Level 10 meetings.

Planned Giving & Donor Advised Funds (10%)

• Develop and market Legacy Giving initiatives.

• Build relationships with Donor Advised Fund holders.

• Identify planned giving opportunities.

• Support long-term donor stewardship strategies.

AI & Technology Responsibilities

• Utilize AI to research prospective donors.

• Assist with donor segmentation.

• Draft donor communications.

• Coordinate event communications.

• Track stewardship activities.

• Maintain accurate CRM records and reports.

EOS Accountability

This position participates in weekly EOS Level 10 Meetings and is responsible for reporting scorecard metrics, quarterly Rocks, donor pipeline updates, and departmental priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

• Three or more years of experience in fundraising, marketing, business development, sales, community engagement, or nonprofit leadership.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

• Experience with CRM software preferred.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

• Passion for the mission of SOS Care.

Work Schedule

This position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to attend fundraising events, networking opportunities, donor meetings, volunteer activities, and community functions.

Physical Requirements

• Local travel throughout the Grand Strand and surrounding communities.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for event setup when needed.
