Welcome to OneEighty a safe place, a source of hope and new direction. We’re a private, non-profit organization dedicated to helping people in and around Wayne and Holmes counties in Ohio. We provide comprehensive addiction, domestic violence, mental health and behavioral health services and operate multiple care facilities throughout our service areas.

OneEighty is seeking to hire a full-time Community Education & Outreach Coordinator who is responsible to implement a broad-based, community approach to prevention and outreach efforts.

Essential Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

To coordinate and deliver programming aimed at educating the community regarding the problems of Intimate Partner Violence, Sexual Assault, and Human Trafficking.

Develop and implement presentations, technical assistance, and support to area schools and community organizations and act as a liaison with these groups.
Develop and maintain programming aimed at preventing domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, harassment/bulling and human trafficking.
Assist the Volunteer Coordinator with recruitment efforts by providing training sessions to new volunteers and offering other technical supports.
Serve as the coordinator for the Men Working For Change volunteer program.
Assist the Educational Committee of OneEighty to develop and deliver appropriate educational sessions to staff and arrange materials for staff in-services.

Assist the Victim Advocacy Outreach Team in educating the professional community to understand signs and symptoms of Intimate Partner Violence, Sexual Assault, Human Trafficking and services of OneEighty.

Assist in maintaining a strong network among community systems, school systems. area businesses, and the overall staff of OneEighty; taking a leadership role with school systems.
Present OneEighty at area health fairs and other events as assigned.
Distribute brochures, OneEighty materials, and updates to relevant businesses, churches, social service agencies, service clubs and the community at large.
Work closely with the Director of Community, Prevention and Victim Services to create P.S.A. radio spots, newspaper coverage, and social networking efforts to promote the awareness of Intimate Partner Violence, Sexual Assault, Substance Use Disorder, and the services of OneEighty.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Public Relations, Communications or other related field. Applicant must be, or be willing to work toward becoming an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist.
Preferred knowledge in Educational and volunteer programs; prevention field; sexual assault prevention; intimate partner violence; substance use disorder prevention; community organizing; understanding of the characteristics of the populations served; knowledge of community resources.
May not receive clinical services at OneEighty.
If in recover, must have two years continuous sobriety.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver License and maintain a driving record that allows the individua; to be insurable with the insurance company providing OneEighty’s vehicle insurance. Regular local travel to all schools in Wayne and Holmes Counties; travel to meetings/conferences as required by OneEighty and grant funders.
Must be certified in CPR/First Aid, or able to attain certification.
Must be trained in administering Narcan, or able to be trained.
Ability to use a computer; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Teams, Zoom and social media tools.
Documented competencies in the field of public relations:
Verbal and written communication skills
Ability to compose and present materials to groups of various ages and backgrounds
Ability to facilitate small group discussion
Ability to use a variety of media and resources in presentations and activities
Excellent time and project management skills. Strong teamwork and collaborations skills.
Ability to follow OneEighty policies and procedures.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills, hard-working, logical, strong leadership skills, and ability to make independent decisions.

Work Schedule: Salaried, Exempt position. Generally Monday – Friday, but flexible hours, which include nights and weekends to fulfill job duties.

Immediate Supervisor: Community Prevention Manager

Subordinates: Volunteers working within the department

Pay Range: $37,000/year starting pay, increases dependent on educations, licensure, and experience.
