Plan rehabilitation programs with offenders, establishing rules of conduct, goals and objectives

Conduct social research

Plan rehabilitation programs with offenders

Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs

Conduct follow-up assessments

Recommend actions when probation or parole is violated

Resolve conflict situations

Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses

Supervise children’s visits with parents to ensure their safety

Assist offenders in pre-release and release planning

Implement substance abuse treatment programs

Establish registry of special needs support workers

Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures

Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs

Manage knowledge

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification

Relationship development intervention (RDI) training

Understanding and managing aggressive behaviour (UMAB) course
