The USC Annenberg Center for Health Journalism partners with newsrooms across America and helps journalists and community storytellers innovate, investigate, and illuminate health challenges in their communities, serving as a catalyst for change.
We are seeking a communications specialist for a temporary, project-based role to support and enhance the Center’s communications and development. This includes:
Design and execution of social media strategy to promote the work of the Center
Develop internal and external communications to convey the accomplishments and impacts of reporting by the journalists participating in our programs

Advance initiatives connected to our 20th anniversary campaign and end-of year fundraising efforts
We are looking to fill this temporary role as soon as possible. 
The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of designing and executing successful audience engagement campaigns for nonprofit or mission-driven media organizations, as well as deep expertise in digital communications, graphics for social media, email marketing, and using performance metrics to guide strategy. A background in nonprofit communications and health journalism are preferred.Â
