Our Client is seeking an Institute Communications Specialist to support marketing, communications, and data visualization needs for a premier leadership-focused nonprofit organization. This role blends strategic content creation with visual storytelling to advance programmatic goals and elevate brand messaging. Ideal candidates are resourceful and collaborative professionals with experience in fast-paced environments and a passion for inclusive leadership.
You Will:
Develop creative assets that support internal and external communications, including digital and print collateral, proposals, presentations, infographics, and promotional materials aligned with brand standards.
Coordinate marketing and communications efforts by working across internal teams and external partners to streamline messaging, submit program materials, distribute branded assets, and enhance the stakeholder experience.
Maintain brand excellence by organizing and managing a repository of high-impact communication tools and conducting regular audits of digital and internal messaging to ensure alignment, consistency, and quality.
Support communication workflows and asset development by optimizing templates, building new promotional tools, and implementing scalable and automated solutions to improve communication efficiency.
Respond to inbound inquiries received via the Institute’s voicemail and email inbox within one business day, based on the team’s coverage schedule.
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in communications, asset management, graphic/content design, or strategic marketing.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, PowerPoint, and content management tools.
Exceptional storytelling, copywriting, copy editing, and presentation development skills.
Strong project management experience with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A deep interest in leadership development and understanding of brand standards and visual identity systems.
A professional, adaptable approach with the ability to manage ambiguity while maintaining focus.
Familiarity with inclusive UX/UI design principles is a plus.

Start Date/Duration: Starting ASAP for a 3 to 6 Month Assignment (Possible Long Term)
Hours/Week: 40 Hours/Week
Onsite/Offsite: Hybrid in DC

Salary/Rate: $40-$45/Hour
