Senior Communications Officer

£230.58 per day PAYE
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Communications Officer.
We’re looking for a brilliant person to tell the story of how we’re creating a strong and fair economy for local people and improving our borough to help local people live good lives as part of our Southwark 2030 vision.
We’re investing millions of pounds in great local projects, and delivering leisure centres, health centres and other community buildings. We’re helping local people into good jobs through our pioneering employment support services. And we’re working to create thriving town centres in amazing communities like Elephant & Castle and Peckham.
We need someone to grip and drive forward communications in this area across all channels, develop and deliver
innovative
and fresh content and campaigns and tell these stories to local people and our stakeholders.

NB This is a hybrid role with a minimum of two days’ work in Southwark, either in Tooley Street near London Bridge or another office, or working on projects elsewhere in the borough for example meeting with partners or gathering content for council channels.
The work pattern is 36 hours a week, usually working either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. It may require some evening and weekend working.
