The Multicultural Business Alliance (MBA) is a dynamic charitable foundation dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in business. We support minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses through technical assistance, resources, and advocacy across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties.
Role Overview:
We’re seeking a creative and driven Communications & Brand Strategy Assistant to help elevate our social media presence and strengthen our brand voice across digital platforms. This role is crucial in helping us reach our mission of supporting diverse businesses in Southern California.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and manage engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and
• Develop and execute social media campaigns highlighting our BUILD Academy, EmpowerHER, and Vetrepreneur programs
• Design and schedule posts that showcase member success stories and program impacts
• Track social media metrics and engagement rates
• Assist in developing brand consistency across all digital platforms
• Support event promotion and coverage on social channels
• Collaborate with team on content strategy and community engagement
Required Qualifications:
• 1-2 years experience in social media m
anagement
• Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with content creation and basic graphic design
• Understanding of social media analytics and reporting
• Ability to create engaging content for diverse business audiences
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working with nonprofit or business development orga
nizations
• Knowledge of multicultural marketing
• Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools
• Understanding of DEI principles
• Bilingual skills a plus
