Clinical Dept Assistant – Teen Clinic Jobs in Kalkaska, MI at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center
Day shift position; 8:30am to 5:00pm
32 hours per week
Potential to work at the 2 other locations during the school year for coverage
This position provides initial and subsequent reception of patients in person and by phone; performs functions related to patient appointments, scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, business, and billing activities.
Capable of managing multiple tasks and telephone interruptions.
Demonstrates effective communication verbally and written with patients, parents/guardians, clinic staff, and outside referral agencies.
May be trained on limited clinical care of patients by obtaining patient vitals, performing point of care testing, and documenting this information in the patient’s medical record.
Clinical care training will be provided on site and employee must demonstrate competency.
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals in providing patient care.
Employee reports to Teen Health Corner Manager.
32 hours per week
Between the hours of 8:00am and 5:30pm, Monday through Friday
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Minimum 12 months of computer experience
Must be able to type 50 words per minute.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize is a must.

We are looking to fill a new position as a Clinical Dept Assistant. This role is an essential part of our Teen Health Corner and our Healthcare Team. This position is responsible for completing general office duties and patient records, as well as monitoring various clinical processes. To excel in this position, the Clinical Dept Assistant should prioritize building and maintaining strong relationships both within the Teen Health Corner and KMHC. Working closely with colleagues will foster a culture of excellence and a shared commitment to delivering compassionate healthcare to our residents and the community.
