Position Overview
Liberty Barn Church is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented ChurchAdministrator to oversee the business operations of the church. This individual will be responsible for managing the church’s finances, facilities, human resources, and administrative functions to support the church’s mission and ministries. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and experience in nonprofit or business administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
· Oversee and manage the church’s budget, ensuring responsible stewardship of funds.
· Work with the Finance Committee and Treasurer to prepare and monitor the annual budget.
· Supervise financial processes, including accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and financial reporting.
· Ensure compliance with financial policies, tax laws, and best practices for nonprofit organizations.
· Assist in fundraising and stewardship campaigns as needed.
Facilities & Operations:
· Oversee the maintenance, security, and use of church buildings and grounds.
· Supervise custodial and maintenance staff, ensuring a well-maintained facility.
· Coordinate facility rentals, vendor contracts, and capital improvement projects.
Human Resources & Staff Management:
· Manage human resource functions, including hiring, onboarding, and employee relations.
· Oversee payroll, benefits, and compliance with employment laws.
· Develop policies and procedures to support a healthy work environment.
· Support church staff and ministry leaders with administrative needs.
Administrative Oversight:
· Supervise administrative support staff and volunteers.
· Maintain church records, membership databases, and legal documents.
· Ensure smooth office operations and efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
· A commitment to the mission and values of Liberty Barn Church and a desire to be wholehearted follower of Jesus.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Nonprofit Management, or a related field is preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in administration, finance, or operations, preferably in a church or nonprofit setting.
· Strong knowledge of budgeting and financial management
· Demonstrated ability to implement HR best practices.
· Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Experience in overseeing and managing staff and volunteers
· Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
