Overview
Hope Women’s Center is a faith based non-profit resource and referral ministry serving teen girls and women facing any difficult life situation. With centers located in Apache Junction, Phoenix, West Phoenix, Maricopa, Northern Arizona, and Coolidge, Arizona, the ministry serves all six communities providing mentoring, education classes, pregnancy testing, material assistance, resources and referrals.
Hope Women’s Center – Phoenix is seeking a part-time Children’s Program Coordinator to facilitate our children’s program and curriculum at that center location.
Part-time position: Approximately 26 hours per week. General schedule is Monday-Thursday 8:45am-2:15pm, Fridays 8:45am-1:15pm. Hourly rate of pay dependent upon experience. Job share options may also be available.
Responsibilities
Day to day supervision of children in program (primarily ages 0-5)
Development of curriculum and activities for program that reflect HWC mission
Track monthly attendance and measurable progress made
Develop relationships with families in program
Train volunteer staff for children’s program
Responsible for cleanliness and organization of children’s classroom
Assist with overall Center support, organization, and cleanliness.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and experience in childcare and/or preschool education
Bilingual speaker preferred.
Strong desire to work with the poor, the vulnerable and the marginalized.
Fingerprint clearance card
Children’s Program Coordinator must have a mature, committed relationship with Jesus Christ and be in agreement with HWC’s Statement of Faith.
