Work with the rector and staff to develop a holistic vision and philosophy for spiritually forming children and families. This vision should address the parent’s role, home life, Sunday worship, family worship, outreach to children/families, resourcing for children/families, special events, and retreats.
On a weekly basis, the Director of Children’s Ministry will work with the rector and staff to develop and maintain a children’s ministry program for our worship service.

Coordinate and lead the children’s ministry at services and events (i.e. retreats, Holy Week, etc.)
Currently, there are two childcare options we need to *
* 0-3-year-olds (nursery) and 4-9-year-olds (kids)
Teach 4-9 year olds weekly curriculum (can be delegated to trained volunteers)
Hire and train nursery workers
Execute child safety
***** Carry out our child safety plan in accordance with the guidelines set forth by our diocese and vestry.
Includes background checks, interviews, and training of all children’s ministry volunteers.
Recruit, coordinate, and train volunteers
Handle communications (emails, calls, etc.) with children’s ministry volunteers, parents, and staff.
Participate in staff and leadership meetings
Purchase and manage children’s supplies
