What we are looking for:
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and engaged Child Care Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and teens with disabilities and providing a safe, engaging environment for their development.
Key Responsibilities:
Engaging and actively supervising children with developmental disabilities ages 6 weeks – 18 years
Leading child care activities
Learning to support each child’s individual needs and provide basic care following toileting routines, feeding techniques, dietary needs and medication needs
Charting and maintaining child care records
Providing behavior management and support
Communicating professionally and effectively with parents daily
Completing household duties, including cleaning up after mealtimes, laundry, vacuuming, and others to maintain a clean and safe environment
Maintaining confidentiality
Administering medications (after minimum of 3 months employment and completion of required trainings)
Completing all necessary trainings upon hire and annually
Other duties as assigned
